Abandoned - Acrylic on Canvas - 24" x 30" (60x75cm)

Raised in North Texas, Hood has always found the world around him fascinating. He attended Sam Houston State University Fine Arts Program where he excelled in painting and printmaking. Born to a father who was a screenprinter, he has particularly been drawn to serigraphy and has earned his living in this industry.

During his years at university, he created serigraphs at a small off-campus studio, before moving to Houston where he opened his own gallery. A few years later he moved to his beloved Austin and opened a studio/gallery where he continued to show his work and that of friends. Austin is the Live Music Capitol of World and Hood soon found himself creating posters promoting the music. His first poster was for Eloise Burrell, now of Amandla Poets, for a gig at Wylies on Sixth Street.

Through his art, Hood, has traveled around the world painting and show his art in galleries in Austin, Dallas, Houston and now online.
